Galactic Heroes are so cool!!!

I’ve been collecting these for my son since they first came out. He is only two and he already knows who “Chewie” is. Makes a father proud to hear that! I don’t know if he’ll like these as much as I do. This 2 pack is nice because it comes with the newer, younger Chewbacca from Revenge of the Sith and a white and blue clone trooper. You can never have enough clone troopers for your army. Solid, one piece figures with no removable parts. Another “must have” to add to your Galactic Heroes collection.

A great figure

I loved the fact that Hasbro made a figure of Anakin’s adult spirit not just as a blue spirit, but as a living Jedi. This figure is a great sculpt and probably will become a collector’s item – especially since newer versions of Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi substituted the adult spirit with that of Christian Haydensen.

North Korea doesn’t have much of a film industry, so this look at Korean movies is strictly fixed to those works produced in South Korea. The film industry experienced a major boom in the late 1990s, and this success has carried over into the new millennium. With projects boasting high production values, original and challenging storylines, and a great deal of gifted and beautiful actors, Korean movies have garnered international acclaim with no sign of decelerating down.

The following list is intended to be an introduction to the cinema of South Korea. You’ll observe that the oldest film on the list was freed in 1998, but that was an intentional choice on my part. I want to get viewers who are unaccustomed to alien films interested, and I’m guessing that including Korean movies from the ’60s and ’70s isn’t the best way to go regarding this.

Oldboy (2003) – The second film in conductor Park Chan-wook’s Vengeance Trilogy, Oldboy tells the story of businessman Oh Dae-Su (Choi Min-sik). Captured and imprisoned in a hotel room for unknown reasons, he’s freed after 15 years and tasked with finding the identity of his captor. What follows is a wickedly pretty tale of revenge and forbidden love. Voters on CNN named it one of the 10 best Asian films ever made, and it’s drawn rave reviews from Quentin Tarantino.

Attack the Gas Station (1999) – A gang of likable thugs rob a gas station at the beginning of the movie, and then they turn right around and rob it again the next night. But this time the manager has stashed the cash, and so the quartet of hooligans kidnap the employees, pump the gas themselves, and keep the money. As they fend off bullies, cops, and deadbeat customers, they become more sympathetic and learn a few things when it comes to themselves.

Barking Dogs Never Bite (2000) – The directorial debut of Bong Joon-ho (The Host), this film revolves around an out-of-work college professor who’s driven up the wall by the barking dogs in his apartment complex. Resorting to abuse and kidnapping to silence them, he’s soon pursued by a plucky young employee at the building (Bae Doona). In case you’re wondering, it’s a dark comedy.

Thirst (2009) – Park Chan-wook helms this tale of a priest who gets turned into a vampire due to a failed medical experiment. As he tries to cope with his condition, he falls for the maltreated wife of an old friend–with rather bloody results.

The Quiet Family (1998) – Combining horror and dark comedy, this Korean film centers around a family who opens a lodge for hikers, but their clients always end up dying. Korean stars Song Kang-ho and Choi Min-sik co-star.

Joint Security Area (2002) – When two soldiers are killed in the demilitarized zone amidst North and South Korea, a special investigative unit is dispatched to get to the truth. Quentin Tarantino named it one of his 20 favored films since 1992.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005) – The final film in Park Chan-wook’s Vengeance Trilogy, the motion picture follows a mild-mannered woman just freed from prison for the murder of a schoolboy. It turns out that she’s innocent, and each day expended in prison was a day she was plotting revenge versus the man who was actually guilty of the crime. A delicious tale of revenge and high-heel pumps.

The Host (2006) – An intermediate Korean family is almost torn apart when their youngest fellow member is captured and drug into the sewers by a mutated amphibious monster. Pooling their endowments together, they seek to rescue the girl and destruct the loathsome creature. Directed by Bong Joon-ho, it’s the highest-grossing South Korean film of all time.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002) – The firstborn film in Park Chan-wook’s magnificent Vengeance Trilogy, Sympathy takes a look at a deaf-mute man attempting to get a kidney transplant for his sister. When things don’t work out, he resorts to kidnapping the young daughter of an executive–with tragic consequences.

Shiri (1999) – The South Korean version of a Hollywood action film, Shiri is in regards to a team of North Korean agents intent on wreaking mayhem versus their southern neighbors. Their most successful fellow member is a female sniper who’s been active in South Korea as a sleeper agent for years, picking off a number of government officials for the duration of that time. An honorable cop and his collaborator ought to try to unravel the plot and root out the enemy agent, altho her true identity may prove troublesome for very dissimilar reasons. You’ll recognize Yunjin Kim, better known as Sun from the television series Lost.

Could have done better

Okay, I bought this figure the same time I bought the new Darth Vader with removable helmet. First thing is, I really do like it, but it could have been more detailed like the Jedi Knight Luke figure in the 30th anniversary series. I bought it anyway and decided to overlook that and the fact that he comes with some type of goggles and a head cloth thing. I saw all that and I still bought it so I have no reason to complain. It goes well with Vader and I am happy I have it in my collection.

Star Wars Luke Skywalker action figure

When I was a kid and Star Wars first came out there was only “one” type of Luke Skywalker. You had to use your imagination if you wanted to envision him somewhere else or in a different outfit. Eventually they made different versions of all the characters so you could collect any type of character in different attires. So holds true today with Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Legacy Collection Sandstorm Luke Skywalker Action Figure. This set comes with Luke Skywalker in Sandstorm attire with a Droid Factory part (There were different parts with each action figure so you could assemble your own Droid Robot.). The action figure is well detailed and durable as action figures go. It was a great addition.

great Jedi Luke figure

I know this, as well as the Han Solo and Chewbaca from this series were sculpted from a deleted story line in ROJ, but it really looks more like an aged later expanded universe Luke. Its solidly built, has great detail and is one of the best sculpted jedi lukes I own. It can also take a beating from my 6 year old nephew.

A person came up to me the other day and asked what the best bait for fishing for Crappie was and it made me think, that would be something to write an article about. So, that’s incisively what I’m going to do. In this article I’m going to list numerous of the best baits to use when fishing for Crappie. These baits have all been successful for me at respective times and any one of them makes a great choice when fishing for these tasty fish.

Let’s get started with the obvious. Crappie love minnows and in reality there is little need to look much further than minnows when you’re talking when it comes to fishing for Crappie. Jigs are also a outstanding crappie fishing bait, and what do you suppose these lures imitate? Yep a minnow. The bottom line is some manifestation of a minnow is without question, the best bait for Crappie.

The main issue with minnows is which works best? Jigs by themselves, live minnows, a combining of the two, or synthetic minnows? Below I will list a heap of tips and proficiencies for each of these baits, and you may figure out your favored through trial and error.

1. Jigs – Jigs, either a lead head jig with a twister tail or a marabou jig are both great baits for crappie. Remember that Crappie have reasonably big mouths for their size, so somewhat huge jigs may be employed in a heap of instances. I like to get started with a 1/8 ounce jig head and work my way up to ¼ ounce. The heavier your jig head, the rapidly and without delay you may get in front of the crappie, exceptionally when they are suspended. The bottom line is that when it comes to fishing for Crappie, the above baits are your best options. Experiment with colors and sizes to find out which bait or technique works best for you, but the bottom line is that the minnow is king when it comes to the best bait for Crappie fishing.

Nice looking figure.

This figure comes with a gun,chains,card with card holder, and a base.. Figure does not stand well on its own but with the base it stands better but still wants to fall down a bit.Only thing wrong with it like i have said is with all spawn 27 figures they smell nasty but just let it sit outside for awhile and it should be better then it was!

Another Spawn great figure

All of the Spawn toys are worth to take a look.
One of my favorites is the Series 27: Art Of Spawn,renditions of great covers and illustrations in most cases from one of the most groundbreaking artists in the comic business and I’m talking about Greg Capullo.

This right here is one hell of a figure.6 inches tall.Packged in a clamshell.Spawn,wrapped up in a desert warfare holding a big gun.Includes the little cover and a holder for it so people can actually see the art that inspired the figure.The figure has some articulation but don’t expect this to be an Action Man,dude.Everybody knows that Mcfarlane isn’t making toys for children anymore.This is more like a bust.
The level of detail is awesome and actually includes some chains (dude,it’s a hellspawn!) making the quality of this even more awesome.It’s an adittion that must be in the room of everyone with at least a bit of good taste.
